Train and Claim your CITB NI Grant

Training is good for your business; well trained employees are safer, better skilled, work faster and make fewer mistakes. Training can also lead to qualifications like NVQ’s and not only do they prove to you and your clients that your workers are competent professionals, but with more and more clients and contractors insisting on a fully qualified workforce they are becoming essential to get you all on site.

CITB NI offers direct grants to our registered employers for support in a wide range of training and qualifications for their employees working in Northern Ireland.

The CITB NI Training Grant Scheme offers support to a wide range of training and qualifications from apprentices through to the support staff in management and administration.
Our Grant scheme is recognised within the industry which allows organisations train their staff and be suitably skilled to work on key projects.

The grant scheme recognises NVQ qualifications, and technical, management and professional qualifications, so you could get help to train you or your staff to these levels.

The grant support also covers short duration training courses including first aid, business courses and site safety courses.  Why not check out our Training Directory to help you identify courses and training providers.

Grant Applications for Tier 1 grant MUST be received by CITB NI within 3 months of attending training, otherwise grant will be declined.

Grant applications can still be submitted even if all the supporting information is not available at the time the training is completed.

An additional 2.5% can be earned by claiming your grant online www.citbni.org.uk/grants

Grants will be paid within 10 days of all the information related to the training is submitted.

An employer should not rely on statements made by third partied about grant rates, eligible training or the claiming process.  Please contact a member of the Grants Team on 028 9082 5466 for advice and guidance.
