Funded Business Improvement Programme – NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Management

CITB-ConstructionSkills NI in partnership with the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) and the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) are offering a Pilot Group Programme approach to achieving an NVQ Level 5 in Management & Leadership and evidence towards Investors in People (IIP) accreditation. There has been a great level of interest in this programme and places are filling up quickly

This programme is targeted at experienced managers/business owners who currently manage individuals and/or teams who wish to implement good practice resulting in improved business performance and achieve a recognised National Qualification.

The programme will run over 8 months and includes workshops and personal advisory support.

Included within the programme are the following topics:-

• Business Plans/Business Improvement Plans/Action Plans
• Setting Objectives
• Learning and Development Plans
• Succession Planning
• Performance Reviews
• Meeting Minutes
• Site Audits
• Programme Of Works
• Responsibility for managing change that has a direct impact on the business

• Management Development
• Managing projects
• Managing Customers
• Managing Resources
• Recruitment and Selection
• Inducting new people into the business


Due to considerable financial support by both CITB-ConstructionSkills NI and DEL the cost per delegate is £375 + VAT for ‘in-scope’ registered businesses. The non-subsidised cost of this programme with the same outcome is £3,000 + VAT.
