Don’t Miss your opportunity to have your say on the Apprenticeship Levy
The Department for the Economy have launched an open consultation for feedback and insight into the forthcoming Apprenticeship Levy.
The Apprenticeship Levy will be introduced across the UK in April 2017 and will apply to all employers in Northern Ireland. Those with a pay bill of over £3million will be net contributors to the Levy.
Economy Minister, Simon Hamilton said on launching the consultation, “I am committed to work with employers and other interested parties to shape the Northern Ireland response to the introduction of the apprenticeship levy and how workforce training in particular apprenticeships, can continue to be taken forward with the best outcome for the Northern Ireland economy.”
In order that the views of the construction industry are fully represented within this consultation CITB NI are encouraging all construction employers to complete the response and return it to the Department for the Economy within the consultation period. The views of employers and other interested parties will help inform the Departments response to the implications of the Levy in Northern Ireland.
A number of consultation events will be held by the Department for Economy during the consultation period to discuss the implications of the Levy for employers in Northern Ireland.
