Training on the Move with CITB NI's Mobile Training Unit

CITB NI's Mobile Training Unit (MTU) provides training on site and is available to all construction employers. It is a convenient way of meeting training requirements with minimum disruption to work whilst also helping businesses meet their legal responsibility.
 

How many people can be trained?
The MTU can train up to 20 people at one time but smaller numbers can be accommodated to meet your needs.
Course duration times range from 1.5hrs to 3hrs depending on the subject being delivered. With a full day hire you have the capacity to cover a wider range of topics to an even greater amount of participants.
 
Hire Cost?
At £300 (inclusive) to employers and staff registered with CITB NI for full day hire which comes with driver and instructor this can equate to industry recognised training from £7.50 per head.

Location & Course Availability
As long as you are based in Northern Ireland, the MTU can come to you. The unit travels across Northern Ireland delivering short duration health and safety courses such as confined spaces, excavations, manual handling and working at heights encouraging the industry to build safely. There are a wide range of courses to choose from, download our latest brochure which details course content and time allocation which will give you a better idea of what is available that may suit your needs.
 
Benefits
The training is delivered on site, it reduces time and costs associated with travelling to a training venue. You can operate as normal and use your own catering facilities so you are also not paying additional expenses on lunch. Work can resume as normal after the training is complete so you can still utilise part of the working day thereby minimising disruption to production.

Can I book it if I’m not Registered with CITB NI?
Yes the MTU can deliver training for employers out of scope to CITB NI.  The cost of hire and delivery on a site within NI is £900
