SUBWAY® Support Super Skilled Apprentices with new Sponsorship Deal
SUBWAY®, the UK's largest sandwich retailer, and internationally recognised brand have linked up with SkillBuild NI to become its latest sponsor.
Skillbuild NI, organised and co-ordinated by CITB NI, is held annually each spring with the top local construction apprentices competing to win coveted titles ranging from brickwork to wall and floor tiling. The winners may then go on to represent Northern Ireland in the Skills Show UK and potentially at WorldSkills.
The sponsorship arrangement will see SUBWAY® branding and presence at the annual SkillBuild NI National Finals with both a financial contribution to assist the running of the event and the provision of fresh food for the competitors.
Commenting on the sponsorship deal David Cooper, Director, Construction Industry Training Board NI (CITB NI) said “This is fantastic news. To have SUBWAY® as a sponsor of the largest regional construction vocation competition in the UK brings a whole different perspective to the brand of SkillBuild NI. We are absolutely delighted that SUBWAY® decided to support the competition and we believe the partnership can be recognised as a natural development into promoting healthy eating to the wider audience who attend SkillBuild NI plus its exposure to the construction industry and the Northern Ireland Training Network with its 90,000 students.
Damian Havlin, Subway said, “Young people make up a large part of our customer base so it makes sense to be involved in the Skillbuild NI Finals. We are looking forward to seeing the apprentices in action and wish them the best of luck in their categories.”
Skillbuild NI National Finals 2015 will be held at Belfast Metropolitan’s Castlereagh Campus on the 29th & 30th of April, please come along and see the best construction apprentices on show, you might even get a free SUBWAY® sandwich.
