INTERESTED IN IMPROVING YOUR COMPANIES ABILITY TO INNOVATE AND MAKE MONEY?
CITB NI and the Northern Ireland Polymers Association (NIPA) are working together to help employers identify and develop the necessary skills and management practices to improve innovation and business performance.
This project will bring together a total of 24 employers from the Polymers and Construction sectors to form three separate working groups. These groups, each with eight members (four from construction and four from polymers) will define innovation issues and work together to develop mechanisms and methodologies for effectively upskilling staff in key areas of innovation and commercial exploitation.
The two sectors with their complementary and transferable skill sets intend to learn from each other’s strengths, something which has not been attempted before.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
With the first group already underway involving representatives from Henry Bros (Magherafelt) Ltd, Lawell Asphalt Co Limited, Moffitt & Robinson Construction Ltd, CITB NI, Boomer Industries Ltd, Canyon Europe Ltd, PrimePac Ltd and Wright Composites Ltd we are now looking for companies to participate in one of the two other groups commencing in November 2015. Time commitment expected from participating companies is 10 days.
Your commitment will be to participate on one of the working groups along with other employers representing companies with 51-100 employers on Working Group 1 or 1-50 employees on Working Group 2 from both the construction and polymers sector.
Each working group will have a £20,000 discretionary budget to help develop, test and trial their approaches in-company.
This is a great opportunity to network with others from both the polymer and construction industries and share learning. Feedback from participating companies currently on the first Working Group states that they have all benefitted and have taken and implemented at this early stage something of benefit to the day to day operations of their business.
