GGF Fire-Resistant Glazed Systems Training
Are you a specialist installer of fire resistant glazing systems or do you wish to learn more about the product and how to ensure it is installed correctly?
CITBNI and GGF are offering a half-day training session to provide experienced installers with the knowledge behind Good Practice in the installation of fire-resistant glazing to enable them to understand the importance of complying within specification contained in test evidence for that fire resistant assembly.

This event is open to GGF members and CITBNI Levy Paying Members at a special rate of £30 (+Eventbrite fee) Non GGF Members and Non levy paying members are also welcome to attend (Rate: £45 + Eventbrite fee).
Participants will be able to identify the essential components of fire-resistant assembly; provide examples of and results of various fires and the reactions of different types of glass when subjected to fire: describe how fire resistant assemblies achieve containment of fires; describe the types of fire resistant glass available and the performance characteristics; describe the different types of sealants and fixings and how they behave when subject to fire; describe the legal requirements of the Building Regulations and how to achieve compliance; describe the 6 key point Code of Practice; describe proper handling, storage, testing and impact aspects of fire resistant glazing.
The cost includes lunch.
Space is limited, however if we are sufficiently oversubscribed we will schedule a second session in the afternoon. This event is subsidised by CITBNI.
