Consultation on revised Construction Senior Management occupational standards

Construction Industry Council has completed a review of the national occupational standards (NOS) for Construction Senior Management. The review has focussed on integrating new industry practices relating to sustainability, energy use, low carbon and Building Information Modelling.

We are seeking confirmation from the sector that the standards are fit for purpose and invite you to participate in our on line consultation.

These National Occupational Standards are relevant to all those practitioners in the construction sector who are working in a policy-making, director or senior management capacity.  The review has focussed on integrating new industry practices relating to sustainability, energy use, low carbon and Building Information Modelling.

These standards are applicable to contracts and production managers and commercial managers, operations directors of smaller construction companies, property and facilities managers and specialist construction managers; as well as those in construction project management – i.e. those who oversee projects from inception to decommissioning, who advise stakeholders and who form and lead project delivery teams.

Details of the consultation are available on http://cic.consult-on.com

The deadline for responses is 11 July 2014

In addition to your own feedback we would really appreciate any help you can give in publicising the consultation to your sector contacts and organisational networks from across the four home nations.

If you require any further details on the review please contact pbehal@cic.org.uk
