Like all sectors construction is battling hard to fight through the economic downturn and it is encouraging to see all the students investing in their own careers which helps enhance the skills base of the construction workforce.”
As part of the ceremony certificates were awarded to those who gained top grades in GCSE Construction and Built Environment in 2013. First and second place was awarded to Paul Gordon and Craig Hanna respectively from Ballymena Academy and third place was awarded to Darren Nugent St Patrick’s High School, Keady.
Barry Neilson continued, “We are delighted to also present awards to those young people who have excelled at GCSE in Construction and Built Environment. We extend our congratulations to these students who may embark further in a career in construction.
