CITB NI Web Site More Accessible to all

CITB NI is committed to developing an IT strategy to help provide industry with a cost-efficient service and to improve our productivity and performance.
 
Central to this strategy is CITBNI’s website which is used by both the general public and CITB NI registered employers

Over recent months a basic assessment of the accessibility of the entire CITB NI website design was undertaken.  The assessment identified areas where enhancements could be made to improve both accessibility and the ability for the site to be used on mobile devices.
 
Accessibility on a web site depends on how a person’s disability affects the way they perceive the information. An accessible web site means making content and design clear so it can be viewed by all without the need to adapt it.

Our recent Employer Tracking Survey stated that 67% of those who had used CITB NI's website rated it 4 out of 5, with 73% of users stating it had up to date content and 70% rated 4 out of 5 for visual appeal.
 
CITB NI’s website is now fully compliant with accessibility standards in terms of colours, navigation and text and is fully responsive on mobile devices.
