Are you involved in the Built Heritage Sector? We would love to hear from you

CITB NI is seeking employers who are involved in the built heritage sector in Northern Ireland to participate in a face to face survey (approx. 1 hour) or online survey (approximately 20 mins) to update the skills requirements element of The Traditional Building Craft Skills Report, a skills needs analysis of the built heritage sector, published in 2009 (links to full and summary reports below).  This report has not been reviewed since its publication and in order to get a better understanding of the skills gaps and shortages in the built heritage sector which may impact on the restoration and maintenance of heritage buildings we are conducting a number of face-to-face interviews and an online survey of key stakeholders.

Funded by the Department for Communities the objectives of the research are to:

•             Analyse and quantify supply and demand in the sector and identify specific skills shortages
•             Assess current training provision
•             Inform the Skills Action Plan.

The update is in relation to Northern Ireland only and will be completed by June 2018.
