Apprenticeship Framework Reviews – Employer Survey Dry lining

CITB NI recognise that skills shortages and an aging workforce are putting the construction industry at risk. We are working with employers, stakeholders and Government to promote career opportunities, generate awareness and review apprenticeship training standards in order to support the workforce of the local construction industry.

The Department for the Economy (DfE) is currently leading a review of all construction apprenticeship training standards and this work is being facilitated through the Built Environment Sector Partnership (BESP). As the standard setting body for the construction industry and secretariat for the BESP, CITB NI is undertaking engagement with construction employers to ensure that the revised apprenticeship frameworks meet the needs of the industry and are employer-led.

It is vital that employers come forward and shape the way apprentices will be trained and qualified to ensure that the future workforce meets industry requirements.

A short questionnaire for the drylining sector has been developed and this will establish demand for a review of the apprenticeship framework and provide the basis for further employer input and discussion.

The survey has an estimated completion time of 3 minutes – please click on the link below to complete the survey. The closing date is Friday 17th May 2019 at 4pm.
