Diane is Operations Manager for Highway Plant Co Ltd. a local company which specialises in the Hire, Sales, Services and Training of Powered Access Equipment.

Diane left school at 16 and through a Youth Training Programme joined Laing Construction in Mallusk as a trainee clerical officer. She was soon promoted to Hire Controller, and when the Company changed hands in 1993 she became Depot Manager. She joined Highway Plant Co. Ltd. in 1996 initially as Office Manager, becoming Hire Manager in 1997, and in 2001 following the successful completion of a University of Ulster and Boston College Certificate of Management Practice, she was appointed Operations Manager for the Company.

Her role is wide ranging and involves ensuring the smooth day to day running of a very busy Company. This includes dealing with customers on the telephone and in person as well as overseeing the Hire, Transport and Service Departments.

As Highway Plant Co. Ltd. are an accredited Investors in People organisation, Diane is also responsible for personnel achievement and regularly liases with the Construction Industry Training Board to access and enrol employees on relevant training courses.
