SkillBuild NI National Final

Construction craft competitions started in N. Ireland as an inter-college event held annually in Belfast Technical College in the late 1970’s. In 1994 Skillbuild Competitions Ltd was established and obtained permission in 1996 to use the Skillbuild name and logo. Since then the competition has become known and promoted as “Skillbuild NI”.

In 1997 Skillbuild NI became part of the UK Skillbuild Competitions network and obtained the National Seal of Approval from UK Skills, which is recognised by the Government as the standard setting body across all industry sectors for Skills Competitions.

Skillbuild NI‘s contribution to training and development was further recognised by the attainment of a prestigious government supported National Training Award in 2004.
