Green Deal connections event benefits local construction employers

The Green Deal represents opportunities for built environment employers working in energy efficiency throughout England, Wales and Scotland. The Belfast Green Deal Connections Roadshow was held last week at CITB-ConstructionSkills NI to help ensure that local employers don’t miss out on Green Deal potential opportunities in Britain.

Ballymena Academy students recognised for top Construction Grades

CITB-ConstructionSkills NI has acknowledged the academic success of the top three local students who achieved the highest grades in GCSE Construction & the Built Environment in NI for 2011.

Slight growth for NI Construction Industry over next 5 years

ConstructionSkills has released its latest Construction Skills Network (CSN) forecasts for the 2012-2016 period. The Sector Skills Council (SSC) highlights that whilst the Northern Ireland construction industry has continued to underperform compared to the rest of the UK, there is a slight growth in output and employment predicted throughout the forecast period.

Resource efficiency seminar to help win green bids for construction work

A FREE evening seminar - “Resource Efficiencies: win business and save costs” - on Thursday 23 February 2012 from 5.00 am to 7.30 pm has been organised at the South West College (SWC)’s Omagh Campus. Aiming to help support small construction firms with supply chain development through improved energy, environmental and waste management, it will also demonstrate how good green credentials help win new business and reduce costs.

The Prince’s Trust helps unemployed young people build solid foundations with Get into Construction
